A homeschooling platform · Years 1–13 · Aotearoa
Begin with the morning. We'll handle the paperwork.
Sapora is a New Zealand homeschooling platform with an exhaustive learning library for years 1 through 13 — completable on paper, on a touchscreen, or with a keyboard. We pair the library with built-in regulatory support, so parents can spend their time teaching, not navigating forms.
Substance over slick. Wisdom worth tasting.
What Sapora does
Everything a homeschooling family needs, in one place.
An exhaustive library
Sapora covers the nine core subjects across all thirteen years of New Zealand schooling, from foundation through NCEA Level 3. Every resource is built to be completed on paper, on a touchscreen, or with a keyboard.
Three modes, one library
A six-year-old with a pencil works differently from a fourteen-year-old with a keyboard. Every Sapora resource renders in three completion modes, so learners meet the work in the way that suits them.
Regulatory support, built in
Apply for your homeschool exemption with confidence. Keep a calm record of the work your children do. Have what you need ready if and when the Education Review Office visits.
Why we built Sapora
The morning is where it begins.
The name comes from the Latin sapere — to know, and to taste. The same root gives us sapient and savor. We believe knowledge is something to be tasted, not consumed. Cultivated. Slow enough to nourish.
We started Sapora because we kept watching New Zealand families take on the considerable, considered work of homeschooling — and then losing weeks to forms, paperwork, and the search for resources that actually held up. The teaching is not the hard part. The everything else is.
Our job, as we understand it, is to take the everything else off the table — so the morning can begin where it should: with a child, a parent, and something worth learning.
